Sabah and Engineered Garments Announce Their First Collaboration
New York, NY — 12/3/2025 — Sabah, the brand best known for its handmade leather shoes inspired by traditional Turkish slippers, announces a special collaboration with Engineered Garments, the iconic New York-based label celebrated for its refined vision of Americana menswear.
The Sabah x Engineered Garments collaboration reimagines Sabah’s most classic silhouette, the Sabah, through the Engineered Garments lens. Inspired by traditional english footwear, Daiki Suzuki of EG dreamed up two styles - one with perforated broguing and the other with the addition of studs. “I believe these two design elements clearly express EG’s style of taking something basic and pushing it to a different level through subtle but meaningful adjustments.” It is also the first time that Sabah has made their shoes with a black sole, black stitching, and black rubber outsoles.
“For many years,” says Suziki, “I’ve been observing traditional Turkish slip-on shoes like the Babouche, as well as the classic shallow-toe Belgian loafers. I’ve always wanted to take these simple shoe forms as a base and create something special with interesting design details. Meeting Sabah finally gave me the opportunity to bring this long-held vision to life.”
The Sabah x Engineered Garments Studded Sabah ($270.00 MSRP) and the Sabah x Engineered Garments Perforated Sabah ($240.00 MSRP) launch globally on December 12, 2025, available in store at Nepenthes Japan, London, New York, Los Angeles, Sabah House New York, and online at Sabah.am.
