ENGINEERED GARMENTS x Sawa Takai's first collaboration

Released on Friday, July 19th. Knit items and socks inspired by EG's standard product "C-1 VEST" are now available.

The first collaboration product between ENGINEERED GARMENTS and sawa takai, a women’s brand based in New York that was launched in 2012, will be released on Friday, July 19th at 11:00am at ENGINEERED GARMENTS TOKYO, NEPENTHES WOMAN & NEPENTHES NEW YORK stores and the online store.

With the theme of "sawa takai for ENGINEERED GARMENTS FW24," three knit items inspired by ENGINEERED GARMENTS ' classic product "C-1 VEST," characterized by its ribbon detail on the back, are now available.

The "OVERSIZED 2-WAY KNITTED VEST / CARDIGAN" and "FLARED RIBBED SKIRT" are available, and are attractive for their utility, as they can be worn either side up, allowing you to enjoy a variety of styles with just one piece. Both are simply knitted with an old fisherman-like rib stitch, and the sleeves and hems feature a stitch pattern seen on guansey sweaters. There are also three types of striped socks in the lineup, which can be worn by both men and women in one size.

PROFILE: A women's brand that started in New York. Designer Sawa Takai moved to the US at the age of 15 and majored in fashion design at FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology, New York). After studying abroad at the Milan Polytechnic University in Milan, Italy, she launched Sawa Takai in 2012 and released her first capsule collection. She is now based in Japan and develops items that feature menswear designs and details that she learned under designers in New York and Milan, such as ENGINEERED GARMENTS.
