Engineered Garments × Karhu – Introduce NEW XC SKI INSPIRED MESTARI

This fall, KARHU and Engineered Garments reunite for their second collaboration following the Mestari Family & Friends release that was made exclusively for the staff of the Nepenthes Store. Drawing from KARHU’s rich archive, Engineered Garments founder, Daiki Suzuki, seamlessly merges the iconic Mestari running shoe with KARHU’s cross-country skiing shoe, the Sprint, in an eye-catching and asymmetric design. This partnership offers a bold reinterpretation of KARHU’s heritage, blending past and present with Engineered Garment’s signature craftsmanship.

Introduced in the 1970s as the first running shoe to feature Air Cushion technology, the Mestari quickly became a bestseller for KARHU selling over 1,000,000 units worldwide. The KARHU x Engineered Garments Mestari features a high energy aesthetic that brings together the three most iconic colourways from the silhouette’s storied history—Superstar Orange, Master Green, and Champion Blue. This unique tri-colour design differs from left shoe to right shoe while both utilize suede, nylon, and leather in the upper for a premium finish. Additionally, each shoe in the pair has a leather lining, a leather-topped foam footbed with arch support, and collaborative branding on the tongue and footbed.The KARHU Mestari Sprint X Engineered Garments will be available at select retailers worldwide and on www.karhu.com on Saturday, the 13th of September.
