Engineered Garments SS24
This collection sees designer Daiki Suzuki reinterprets the classic Ivy League style, fusing influences from its popularity in post-WWII Japan and his fashion journey.
The season's offering draws inspiration from the traditional style popular among elite American universities, which Daiki first encountered in classic Hollywood films and later through magazines. Influenced by Charles Hix's "Dressing Right," Daiki takes the rigid rule structure behind this aesthetic and incorporates daring layering and combinations.
These experimental changes include traditional Ivy League elements, such as blazers and button-downs, infused with military and workwear touches. It features playful patterns and rugged fabrics, adding a modern twist to the classic style.
